Maria Kyrkan (St. Mary's)

Maria Kyrkan (St. Mary's) Review

Maria Kyrkan, begun in the early 14th century and finished 100 years later, is a fine example of Danish Gothic architecture. St. Mary's has several highlights: the 15th-century reredos, the silver treasure in the sacristy, and a memorial plaque to Dietrich Buxtehude (1637-1707), a prominent German composer as well as the church's organist.
