Sofiero Slott Review

In 1865 Sofiero Slott (Sofiero Palace) was built in Dutch Renaissance style by Prince Oscar and his wife, Sofia, as a summer home. Half a century later Oscar II gave the palace to his grandson, Gustav Adolf, and his wife, Margareta, as a wedding gift. Since the estate is now owned by the city of Helsingborg, you can gain access to Sofiero's park, a haven for more than 10,000 samples of 300 kinds of rhododendron, various statues donated by international artists, and a large English garden; nearby greenhouses have plant exhibits. A café and fine restaurant are on the grounds.
