Dial 112 for emergencies—this covers police, fire, ambulance, and medical help, as well as sea and air rescue services. Private care is available via CityAkuten. A hospital is called a sjukhus, which is Swedish for "sick house," and regular doctors' offices are called Läkerhuset. Dentists are listed under tandläkare, or tandvård. There is a 24-hour national health service via the emergency number listed below.
