Working with what appears to be a dubious site (atop a tunnel above a six-lane highway), the Hilton has pulled a rabbit out of a hat. Built on special noise- and shock-absorbing cushions, the hotel almost lets you forget about the highway. The intriguing labyrinth of levels, separate buildings, and corridors is filled with such unique details as a rounded stairway lighted from between the steps. The guest rooms are exquisitely designed and modern, with plenty of stainless
steel and polished-wood inlay to accent the maroon color scheme. The Slussen location is easily accessible from downtown.

This hotel is now a Hilton Hotel and I belive that you can "feel" it. The standard is higher and they have added some amenities. The rooms are very nice and elegant with nice beds and a great working-area. If you stay in a business room, you will also get access to their special lounge where you can have a drink, read the papers or have som smaller dishes (tapas-style). The location is ok, close to Gamla Stan and one stop on the metro from the central
