Fodor's Review

Noted for its fresh seafood dishes, Wedholms Fisk is set by a bay in Stockholm's center. High ceilings, large windows, and tasteful modern paintings from the owner's personal collection create a spacious, sophisticated space. The traditional Swedish cuisine, which consists almost exclusively of seafood, is simple but outstanding. The menu is divided by fish type, with a number of dish options for each type of fish.

A great fish restaurant

Our dinner at Wedholms Fisk was very good. The fish was fresh and well prepared. The restaurant is nicely decorated in an understated way and was full of well dressed diners. If you like fish, eat here.

Dress up to go here

We had a wonderful dinner. The food was excellent and the service matched it -even though they were very busy. It was full of local people and they were all dressed so smart .

The Place Was Empty!

I went to Wedholms Fisk on a Wednesday night around 8 p.m.. My co-worker and I were one of three tables seated when we started our meal, and maybe one of 5 tables by the time we left. (Obviously, we were a bit embarrassed about making reservations.) The restaurant was just so darned quiet--no music and no people talking--that it was uncomfortable. Entrees were pricey--my co-worker had some sort of mixed shellfish dish than was 300 K (about $30 USD).

Totally not worth it. And my salmon was just way too expensive. So the food was good, but I'd peek in the windows before venturing back. Having the whole restaurant to ourselves was a bit scary.
