Within easy walking distance of Djurgården, this elegant hotel is less flashy than most in its price range, but oozes a certain European chic, evident in its subtle, tasteful designs and efficient staff. The building is a turn-of-the-20th-century town house that housed foreign embassies in the 1930s and was converted into a hotel in 1966. Rooms are all individual but have fresh colors, clean lines, and subtle hints of floral prints in common, and those in the front, facing the water, have magnificent views over Stockholm Harbor. The T-Bar, formerly a rather staid tearoom and restaurant, is now one of the trendiest bars among the city's upper crust. The second-floor bar is ideal for a break from sightseeing.
