Pelikan
Pelikan Review
Beer, beer, and more beer is the order of the day at Pelikan, a traditional working-class drinking hall, a relic of the days when Södermalm was the dwelling place of the city's blue-collar brigade. Today's more bohemian residents find it just as enticing, with the unvarnished wood-paneled walls, faded murals, and glass globe lights fulfilling all their down-at-the-heel pretensions. The food here is some of the best traditional Swedish fare in the city. The herring, meatballs, and salted bacon with onion sauce are not to be missed.

Moldava, from Italy
A huge disappointment.
The ambiance is all the official review says and quite nice, but the food felt and tasted like it was leftovers from the day before and had just been warmed up and plonked into a dish for you. Beer selection indeed wide. About 2/3 of it is foreing beers and if you order one of those the waitress will rap your knuckles for ordering something not Swedish and will bring you the only Swedish beer they have on tap. -
Richland, from Nashville
Eating at the Pelican is a great experience. We tried the meatballs and the bacon with onion sauce and loved them. This is a beer lover's paradise. Nothing fancy but a wonderful experience.
