Fodor's Review:

The name of this hotel means the "Pearl" and that's exactly what it is. On the second floor of an early-19th-century building on a quiet street, the Pärlan is a friendly alternative to the city's bigger hotels. Furniture throughout is a mix of fine antiques and flea-market bargains, making it quirky and homey. A balcony looking out over the inner courtyard is a perfect spot for eating breakfast, which is served buffet style in the kitchen every morning. Be sure to admire the ultra-Swedish tile oven in the corner of the dining room. If you want to get a feel for what it's like to really live in this neighborhood, this is your best bet. Book far in advance because the rooms are almost always full.

This a gem of a hotel-quiet, comfortable, like being at home. Good sitting area, especially a lovely balcony overlooking a courtyard. Robin, one of the owners, was a real help in providing suggestions and information. Great location in non touristy Ostermalm, near harbor and close to metro and bus transportation. A great place to stay!

This was by far the best hotel/guesthouse I've been to in Europe. Quaint, clean, great location and great owners. Was the perfect hotel for getting the feeling of living in Stockholm. Would highly recommend it.
