Housed in one of Stockholm's oldest hotel buildings (1895), the Crystal Plaza, with a circular tower and peach walls, is sure to catch the eye of anyone walking down Birger Jarlsgatan. Most rooms have a mix of birch-wood furniture, hardwood floors with small rugs, and the requisite hotel artwork on the walls. Rooms facing the inner courtyard can be a bit quieter than those on the street. If you want only the best, throw down a little extra money for one of the circular tower rooms, two of which have balconies. The hotel's location, close to the hip bars of Stureplan and downtown shopping, makes it an ideal place for folks looking to have quick access to a good time in the city.
