Although in a building dating from 1884, the Adlon considers itself a high-tech business hotel. In truth, though, what was high-tech when Adlon introduced it is now mostly considered standard in most hotels. Still, rooms here are light-filled and cleanly dressed in light woods and orange and sky-blue fabrics; the fairly large desks come with complimentary high-speed Internet access. Add all this to its central location and a variety of business services, and Adlon can still boast its business-friendly credentials.

The Adlon is only a block from the station for the airport express train. Our room was recently renovated and good sized. The (included) breakfast buffet has a wide selection of good food. Most tourist points in downtown Stockholm are in easy walking distance. We would stay here again.
