Sigtuna Stadshotell Review

Near the lakeshore, this beautiful hotel was built in 1909, and soon after became a central gathering place among locals—despite at the time being considered one of the ugliest buildings in all of Sigtuna. In its early days the hotel had Sigtuna's first cinema, and in the cellar the state liquor store operated an inn. Today it has been carefully restored and tastefully furnished. The emphasis is on a clean and natural interior, where oak, sandstone, and white cotton are the focus. The restaurant is a fine-dining treat, serving up modern Swedish food and great views of the lake.
