Fodor's Expert Review Clarion Hotel Wisby

A hotel since 1855, the tall, thin building that's now the Clarion Hotel Wisby dates from the 1200s and sits at the junction of two narrow medieval streets. Its ocher-color walls, light floral-patterned fabrics, dark wood, and vaulted ceilings give it old European grandeur. There are two excellent bars in the hotel, one a glassed-in courtyard that serves cocktails and the other a cozy pub with a good beer selection. The in-house Kitchen & Table restaurant combines American and Swedish influences.
