The Southeast Places

Altea

Altea is an old fishing village with white houses and a striking church with a blue ceramic-tile dome. One of the best-conserved towns on the Costa Blanca, it serves as a foil to the skyscraping tourist towers of Benidorm. The beach is pebbly. North of town, the Altea Hills area is more built up, with pretty villas lining the hills and cliffs.
