Ten minutes north of La Seu d'Urgell (off the road to Andorra) in the Pyrenean village of Calbinyà—which has a Museu del Pagès (Farmers' Museum) and a 16th-century farmhouse—is this lovely inn with rustic charm and inexpensive meals ($$). The inn's owners often accompany guests into the woods to help identify mushrooms and berries and will be only too delighted to show you how to make delicious jams and conserves and how to cure meats during la matança, the midwinter pig-slaughtering event.
