Casa Irene Review

A rustic haven, this inn is known for fine mountain cuisine with a French flair, and the personal style and spacious and elegant rooms make this a highly recommended address for a stay as well as a meal. The restaurant offers a tasting menu, and dishes such as baked turbot with winter vegetables and roast pigeon with cream of artichokes have made Irene a national treasure (the menu changes seasonally). In low season it's a good idea to call ahead to check if the restaurant is open, and reservations are essential.
