Martinet

The town of Martinet hasn't much to offer except a few cozy watering spots that are hard to pass up in the heat of summer. For a course in trout gastronomy, have a close look over the railing along the Río Segre just upstream from its junction with the Llosa River. Martinet's protected trout are famous in these parts: the fish dine from 1 to 4 in the afternoon, when the sun slants in and cooks off hatches of aquatic insects while illuminating every speckle and spot on the feeding trout.
