Faithful to its surname, this hotel seems as if it had been transplanted from London or New York into one of Madrid's busiest neighborhoods. Everything on its ground floor—the lamps, the mustard color circular divan that sits in front of the reception desk, the meeting lounges with velvet armchairs and silk screens, the steel butterfly cutouts on the restaurant walls—highlights elegance and imagination. No two rooms are alike in shape—the hotel is made of five old private houses—but they're all comfortable and bright—even the interior ones, thanks to a large open courtyard that keeps the street noise out and lets the sun in. Pros: Very stylish, central location, great breakfast buffet. Cons: Some rooms are noisy.
