La Ancha

La Ancha Review

The traditional Spanish menu here includes some of the best lentils, meat cutlets, and croquettes in Madrid, as well as more elaborate dishes, such as the juicy tortilla con almejas (Spanish omelet with clams). Both locations of the restaurant (the other is at Príncipe de Vergara 204 in the Chamartín neighborhood; metro: Concha Espina) belong to the same family and are unpretentious inside but known for outstanding food. The Príncipe de Vergara location has a covered patio for the summer; this one, behind the Congress, is often filled with politicians.
