Near the bustling tourist area Sol, this fairly new and popular hotel maintains some of its location's original characteristics, including a wood staircase, some wooden beams, and the vaulted exposed-brick walls in the meeting and breakfast rooms downstairs. The rooms, tastefully done with deep-purple ceilings and outfitted with modern light fixtures and tempered-glass sinks, already show some wear and tear. This chain boutique hotel has two nearby locations with similar features: the Petit Palace Puerta del Sol on the same street but closer to Sol, and the Posada del Peine at C. Postas 17. Pros: Modern-looking design, it has triple and quadruple rooms. Cons: No restaurant, very busy and noisy street, cheap room materials.
