Skiing in Galicia and Asturias

The region's three small ski areas cater mostly to local families. The largest is San Isidro, in the Cantabrian Mountains, with four chairlifts, eight drag lifts, and more than 22 km (14 mi) of slopes. East of here is Valgrande Pajares, with two chairlifts, eight slopes, and cross-country trails. West of Ourense, in Galicia, Mazaneda has two chairlifts, 17 slopes, and one cross-country trail.
