With big shoes to fill, this fusion restaurant took over the premises of the world famous Michelin-starred Altair in late 2012. So far, reviews have been outstanding. The kitchen turns out examples of traditional Extremadura classics executed with a modern flair, such as Iberian porco preto (free-range pork fed on acorns) with wasabi and setas (wild mushrooms). The lunchtime prix-fixe menu del día is a great value at €18.90.
