By Bus in Eastern Andalusia with Granada and Cordoba

By Bus

If you're not driving, buses are the best way to get around this region. They serve most small towns and villages, and they're generally faster and more frequent than trains. From Granada, Alsina Gräells serves Alcalá la Real, Almería, Almuñecar, Cazorla, Córdoba, Guadix, Jaén, Lanjarón, Motril, Órgiva, Salobreña, Seville, and Úbeda.

Autocares Bonal operates between Granada and the Sierra Nevada.

Granada's bus station is on the highway to Jaén.

Buses serve Córdoba as well, but the various routes are covered by myriad companies. For schedules and details, go to Córdoba's bus station -- next to the AVE (high-speed train) station -- and inquire with the appropriate company. Alsina Gräells connects Córdoba with Granada, Seville, Cádiz, Badajoz, and Málaga.
