Salobreña. About 13 km (8 miles) east of Almuñécar, this unspoiled village of near-perpendicular streets and old white houses on a steep hill beneath a Moorish fortress is a true Andalusian pueblo, separated from the beachfront restaurants and bars in the newer part of town. It's great for a quick visit. You can reach Salobreña by descending through the mountains from Granada or by continuing west from Almería on N340. Almuñecar.
