Albufera Nature Park

Albufera Nature Park Review

This beautiful freshwater lagoon was named by Moorish poets—albufera means "the sun's mirror." Dappled with rice paddies, Parque Natural de la Albufera is a nesting site for more than 250 bird species, including herons, terns, egrets, ducks, and gulls. Admission is free, and there are miles of lovely walking and cycling trails. Bird-watching companies offer boat rides all along the Albufera.
