Mesón Castellano

Mesón Castellano Review

The most traditional restaurant in town, this cozy, rustic Castilian establishment uses a large open fire for roasting succulent chuletón de ternera (veal chops), chuletillas de cordero (lamb chops), and a varied list of vegetables. Another house specialty is migas pastoriles (soaked bread crumbs fried with peppers and bacon). For all the meat-roasting enthusiasm here, fish and seafood are also well represented, with everything from roast besugo (sea bream) to bacalao (cod) and rodaballo (turbot), usually fresh from Spain's northern coast.
