Parador de Soria Review

On a hilltop surrounded by trees and parkland offering panoramic views of the Duero Valley, this modern parador resembles a luxurious alpine ski lodge. It's easy to see why poet Antonio Machado came often to this site for inspiration, especially before the parador was built in the 1960s. A chance to contemplate that same panorama is reason enough to spend a night or two here. Rooms are comfortable and furnished efficiently in subdued tones but lack the romanticism of the surroundings. The restaurant specializes in Castilian fare, from roasts of pig and lamb to migas de pastor.
