Fodor's Expert Review Café Atlántico
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Opposite the tourist office, this is one of the city's oldest café-bars (est. 1945), famous as a venue for business and cultural gatherings. The original interior includes Moorish tiling, typical Canary wooden beams, and a very large oil painting of Monte Teide. Open morning to night, this is the place for café con leche or a leisurely cocktail. Ownership changed hands in 2020, and it remains to be seen what the new, younger management has in store for Café Atlántico's revamp.
