Fodor's Expert Review The Original Bistro

A well-established dining spot and a big favorite with Brits, this bistro is run by a friendly Canarian and English couple—the menu combines traditional British fare with a touch of Canary Island influence. House specialties include a half (or whole, if you can manage it) shoulder of lamb with a red-currant glaze and a deep-dish steak-and-mushroom pie. There's also a good-value three-course daily menu (€15), which changes daily. The cheesecakes here are justly famous—the mouth-watering flavors include strawberries and Baileys, and chocolate.
