Fodor's Review:

Some 15 minutes east of Vitoria off N104 toward Pamplona, this 17th-century palace has panoramic views over the Alava plains and retains a powerful sense of mystery and romance, with long stone hallways punctuated by imposing antiques. Rooms have polished wood floors and some have glass-enclosed sitting areas and/or hot tubs. The wood-beam dining room ($$-$$$$) on the third floor makes each meal feel like a baronial feast. Pros: Contemporary rooms and comforts, gorgeous details and surroundings. Con: Isolated.
