Hospedería del Monasterio de San Millán Review

Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this magnificent inn occupies a wing of the historic Monasterio de Yuso, famous as the birthplace of the Spanish language. Heavy medieval stone walls conceal a surprisingly contemporary and minimalist interior, with an elongated baronial dining room that serves regional dishes from La Rioja. Guest rooms are elegant and may seem austere at first glance, but the converted and restored monastery has all the modern comforts of any first-class 4-star hotel.

    Loved the entire experience

This hotel is a unique experience. It has all of the amenities of a large hotel, but has the feel of a small one. The food is excellent and they serve large portions. I enjoyed walking throughout the area and found the monastery fascinating. I would definitely stay here again.
