Fodor's Review

Once part of the music-hall scene along the Paral.lel, these days the beats come from an eclectic and varied program of international and local acts. Salif Keïta, Kitty, Daisy and Lewis, and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings are just a few that have taken the stage recently, though the offerings vary wildly from jazz and swing, to flamenco and hard rock. After the last encore, Sala Apollo converts to a hugely popular dance club—the Nasty Monday and Crappy Tuesday nights are particularly sinful ways to start the week.
