Ferran Adrià of el Bulli fame and his brother, Albert, opened these adjoining tapas and cocktail bars in early 2011 to much international fanfare and curiosity. Tickets offers contemporary tapas, which, coming from the creators of el Bulli, means ice-cream cones of salmon eggs, egg yoke, soy sauce, and wasabi, or little plates with names such as Bloody Mary: crusty tomatoes with basil butter, virgin olive oil, caviar, and cheddar cheese cookies. Albert's new creations are lovely, but Ferran's old favorites from the now-closed el Bulli are the main draws here. The cocktail bar, 41°, takes cocktails just as seriously, with multiple variations on the gin and tonic using different gins and tonic waters, for example. The Adriàs have also launched a fully fledged haute cuisine restaurant, Experiences ($$$$). Reservations are taken online only (not by phone) 60 days in advance. Every day 80 new places open up. Check the calendar on the website for exact instructions.
