Fodor's Review

Just off Rambla Catalunya and near the gardens of Barcelona's University, this modern hotel is in the middle of the art-gallery district and within walking distance of La Rambla, the Ciutat Vella, and the Moderniste architecture of the Eixample. Guest rooms—which, except for the suites, are on the small side—have contemporary furniture, striped textiles, and basic amenities. Pick one at the back of the building, rather than a street view; rooms on 8F, with private

terraces, are quietest.

Cristal Palace, not really a Palace.

Stayed in Dec. 02. The room was OK, but the best part was the tub with the jets. Otherwise, it's more of a hotel for families, and tour groups. Lots of kids racing through the hallway. The neighborhood was kinda interesting, I found a Korean BBQ place open on Christmas Eve!

fine and convenient location

its a fairly new or recently renovated hotel just one block off the elegant paseo de gracia with its fine shops and 2 blocks from gaudi's cas battlo, one block from a well priced cafe on paseo de gracia for tapas, lunch or dinner one block away and 3 blocks from corte ingles, the best department store. a short walk to plaza angel stores and the famous ramblas. total convenience in a 4 star hotel very well priced and with cafes in all directions

[unlike hotels on the ramblas where you can't sit down]. a great buy.
