Fodor's Review

A chic, postmodern addition to Barcelona's top-end lodging options is hidden behind this traditional facade, which is a 15-minute walk from the top of La Rambla. Public spaces have a nightclub feel, with leather chairs, pillar candles, and the occasional splash of neon-green accent lighting. Rooms are more subdued, decorated in deep browns with a touch of Asian-inspired artwork; some have private balconies. Fine Mediterranean-Mexican fusion cuisine is served in the restaurant

Mexiterranée. Spa treatments are available at the Stone Spa therapy center. The bar at street level, thoroughly soundproofed, is a good spot for people-watching.

Hotel Casanova Review

Excellent and helpful staff, clean, spacious modern rooms with comfortable beds, decent wardrobe space, roomy bathroom with a bath and shower, great breakfasts, has free internet service and can use printer (so could check in return flight) and very handy location - not on the main Barcelona drag but easy walking distance for everywhere you wanted to go (or the staff would get you a taxi for longer trips). Best G&T's I've had in a v long time - these

went down far too easily after a long hot day sightseeing. Please note however, that the restaurant is not open during July/August for dinner, however, the bar has a few tables which serve a dinner menu (which was exceedingly good). Highly recommend for business or tourist traveller. Can get a very good hotel rate (including breakfast) if book both flights and hotel through BA.
