Streamlined and original contemporary recipes make Ot (Otto, in Catalan), just two blocks up from Gaudi's Sagrada Familia, a good choice for hungry and footweary diners. An eight-course tasting menu (EUR 58 at press time) composed of two appetizers, two starters, fish, meat, and two desserts is the standard Ot formula. The abbreviated tasting menu (EUR 45) isn?t much less expensive but you get a lot less to eat (one of everything and a choice of fish or meat). The menu changes frequently and includes zingers such as cauliflower soup with herring eggs.
