Rialto

Fodor's Review:

With its glass-walled reception area on the corner of Pas de l'Ensenyança and Carrer Ferran, this bright, spotless, well lighted place gives way to more subdued rooms with wooden floorboards, white walls, patterned gray drapes and bedspreads, and solid walnut doors. Passatge del Crèdit, on the other side of the hotel, was where iconic Catalan painter Joan Miró was born. Miró's birth room is now the Rialto's suite 330 (EUR 210), a perfect spot for dreams filled with shooting red and blue stars. Pros: central location, friendly staff. Cons: one of the busiest streets in the city, no room service.
