Barcelona's architects' college, constructed in 1961 by Xavier Busquets, houses three important gems: a superb library (across the street) where for a small fee the college's bibliographical resources are placed at your disposal for architectural research purposes; a bookstore specializing in architecture, design, and drafting supplies; and a nonpareil restaurant (one of the city's great secrets). And let's not forget the Picasso friezes just above the college's windows, designed by the artist in 1960. Inside the building are two more Picasso friezes, one a vision of Barcelona and the other a poem dedicated to the sardana, Catalonia's national dance.
