Suquet de l'Almirall
Suquet de l'Almirall Review
With a handy terrace for outdoor dining in summer, the "Admiral's Fish Stew" (as the restaurant's name translates) was once a highly ranked leader among the restaurants on this waterside street, but it no longer commands blind loyalty from its dining troops. Specialty rice dishes, including paella and fresh fish from the quay across the road, can still delight, but inconsistency of execution has removed the luster from the Almirall's stars. Service is still good, and as of this writing, head chef Quim Marqués was planning an ambitious redesign that will hopefully put new wind in the sails of this Barceloneta institution.
