Fodor's Review

Situated between Passeig de Gràcia and Pau Claris, this hotel offers good value with tasteful contemporary design and a central Eixample location. The small rooms have a certain polished, masculine style with dark brown textiles, leather or wood headboards, unadorned furniture, and plenty of light. The owners are the Gimeno sisters of the nearby Gimeno design store, so it's no wonder the place is subtly sleek and hip. Some rooms have views of Gaudí's La Pedrera at the

corner of the avenue.

Great stay at Hotel Actual

Great location out of the tourist trap of the ramblas, but within easy walking distance. One down side is that because this is a business district, many things are closed on Sundays (think restaurants). However the hotel was quiet, clean and modern altough the room, all the same size, are a wee bit small if you have a lot of luggage. Casa Batllo and Casa Milà are right around the corner.
