Hotel Axel Review
Inside a lovely historic building typical of the Eixample, this recently renovated hotel caters primarily (but by no means exclusively) to gay travelers in an area dubbed "Gayxample" by locals. The spacious rooms are soundproof and luminous, decked out in white-on-white decor punctuated by hints of black, red, and chrome that are both chic and masculine. Free bottled water is available in every corridor. The hotel restaurant is excellent, and the rooftop Skybar and pool (complete with little waterfall features) has wonderful views over the city.
