La Cascada

  • Address: La Ciutadella, Barcelona, Catalonia | Map It

Fodor's Review:

Take a break by the Ciutadella's lake, and, behind it, you'll find the monumental Cascada (Falls), by Josep Fontseré, designed for the Universal Exposition of 1888. The waterfall's rocks were the work of a young architecture student named Antoni Gaudí—his first public work, appropriately natural and organic, a hint of things to come.

  • Metro: Arc de Triomf, Ciutadella
