Palau de la Virreina

Fodor's Review:

The neoclassical Virreina Palace, built by a viceroy to Peru in 1778, is now an exhibition center for paintings, photography, and historical items usually dedicated to social and environmental issues honoring Catalonia's struggle of "internal exile." The building also houses a bookstore and a tourist office.

  • Cost: Free; EUR 3 charge for some exhibits
  • Open: Mon.-Sat. 11-8, Sun. 11-3
  • Metro: Liceu
