Fodor's Review:

Built in 1901, this graceful Puig i Cadafalch building was until recently the seat of the Centre Cultural Fundació "La Caixa," a far-reaching cultural entity funded by the Caixa Catalana (Catalan Savings Bank). The Eusebi Arnau sculptures over the door depict, somewhat cryptically, a man mounted on a donkey and another on a bicycle, reminiscent of the similar Arnau sculptures on the facade of Puig i Cadafalch's Casa Amatller on Passeig de Gràcia.
