Fodor's Review

Cuina d'autor is Catalan for creative or original cooking and that is what you get here in this smart subterranean space on the intimate and restaurant-centric Passatge Marimón just above the Diagonal thoroughfare. The upstairs bar gets busy with a postwork crowd of food-loving locals but downstairs is a cool and minimalist restaurant. Publicity-shy chef Albert Ventura avoids the spotlight and lets his cooking do the talking: delicate contemporary dishes featuring tender leeks, seasonal mushrooms and local fish are complemented by a by-the-glass wine list catalog with interesting discoveries that change regularly.
