The Villa Emilia is a bit removed from the tourist attractions of the Eixample and the Old City, but a mere five minutes' walk to the Fira de Barcelona exposition center, the Las Arenas shopping center, and the airport shuttle bus stop in Plaça Espanya. What's more, Parc de Joan Miró and the musuems of Montjuïc are all nearby. Room decor is modern, in tones of beige and brown, with hardwood floors and blond wood furniture; Epyptian cotton sheets make for a soothing night's sleep. Standard doubles are not especially large, and corner rooms have odd angles that can make them feel a bit cramped; rooms on the sixth floor (ask for no. 62 or 68) are larger and have more light. The rooftop terrace has comfy sofas, potted palms, and (weather permitting) live music in the evenings; guests can flesh out the terrace bar service with tapas and excellent wines fetched up from the hotel's Zinc-bar bistro on the ground floor.
