¢-$$, Spanish, Barri Gòtic
Fodor's Review:
Wainscoting and 1950s canvases are the background for the mostly Catalan crowd in this homey restaurant in the lower reaches of the Gothic Quarter. Agut was founded in 1924, and its popularity has never waned -- not least because the hearty Catalan fare is a fantastic value. In season (September-May), try the pato silvestre agridulce (sweet-and-sour wild duck). There's a good selection of wine, but no frills such as coffee or liqueur.
