Fodor's Review:
Delicatessen and wine emporium, this mantequeria (literally, "buttery") two blocks uphill from Gaudí's Sagrada Família church serves lovingly prepared and clued-in dishes ranging from warm goat-cheese salad to foie (duck or goose liver) to beef. The wine list, of course, is exquisite and the service is cheerful. The original Ya Ya Amelia ("Ya Ya" is a nickname for grandma), around the corner at Sardenya 364, closes Sunday, so one or the other is always open. Both restaurants serve continuously from midday (1 PM) to midnight. The Mantequeria is usually fresher, less smoky, and less crowded. Ask for the chef's table by the kitchen for a closer look at the action.
