Just 3 km (2 mi) southwest of Montilla is one of Andalusia's better roadside hotels. The wood-beam-covered common areas have a mixture of decorative elements; note the elephant tusks flanking the TV in the lounge. The clay-tile rooms are large and comfortable; some look onto the road, others onto the garden and pool. Ask to see the wine cellar; it's a beauty. Pros: Refreshing swimming pool, easy access. Cons: Outside of town, heavy trucking traffic on nearby highway.
