Two 18th-century mansions that look out on the Plaza de Maimónides in the heart of the Judería are now a stylish hotel. (You can also enter through the old Moorish walls on Calle Cairuán.) There's a cobblestone Mudejar courtyard, carved-wood ceilings, and a plush lounge area; the newer wing across the street is done in blues and grays and Norwegian wood. Guest rooms are large and comfortable. Pros: Perfect design and comfort, pleasant and efficient service. Con: Parking near the hotel difficult.
