In old Úbeda, this beautiful 16th-century mansion has been in the same family since it was built, and part of it still hosts the regal Marquesa de la Rambla when she's in town. Eight of the rooms are open to overnighters; each is unique, but all are large and furnished with original antiques, tapestries, and works of art; some have chandeliers. The palace is arranged on two levels, around a cool, ivy-covered patio. Pros: Central location, elegant decor. Cons: Public space limited, parking problematic (property only accommodates four compact cars).
